ILCSA Allied Health Services

ILCSA offers an Occupational Therapy Assessment service for aged care Home Care Package, DVA, Private and Medicare clients within the Adelaide Metropolitan area.

OT Assessment

What is an Occupational Therapy Assessment?

An Occupational Therapist (OT) assessment focuses on your goals / hopes for what you can achieve and looks to identify your current ability to manage your activities for daily living.

The OT can recommend and assist with the implementation of the required assistive technology (equipment), support services, education and therapy supports to aid safety and independence.

The Occupational Therapist will provide a report outlining their findings to the support service provider who requested an assessment, GP and client if required. The findings will include and assessment of the function of the client and provide clinical justification for long or short term support, equipment required, additional therapy services and/ or modifications to be undertaken. Third party organisations funding a support service or equipment require an OT assessment to be completed before providing funding for a client.

Referrals

A referral for an assessment can be commenced by downloading the Referral Form, completing all sections and then emailing the form to ILCSA via information@ilcsa.com.au. An ILCSA staff member will contact the referrer and client to organise a suitable day and time for an Occupational Therapist to complete the assessment with the client.
